 Eine der letzten Variationen der He 111, sie diente zum Transport für Fallschirmspringer. Sie sollte ursprünglich nach ihrer Erbeutung durch die Amerikaner nach Amerika verbracht werden, was allerdings mangels Transportkapazität nicht stattfand. So wurde sie als ‘ Staffeltaxi ‘ der 56th Fighter Group in Boxted/England genutzt

 Im November 1945 entging sie der Verschrottung in dem sie als Museumsflugzeug eingelagert wurde und ziert heute die Battle of Britain Hall des Museums. Eine willkommene Abwechslung zu den noch zahlreicher vorhandenen spanischen Casa - Varianten. Diese haben englische Motoren und Motorverkleidungen und sind oft erst nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg entstanden.

 One of the last variations of the Heinkel He 111, this plane was used to transport parachute jumpers,which means,it was no bomber.It was planned to transfer this aircraft to the USA, but due to a lack of transport capacity this failed. Instead of this she was used as a ‘ squadron taxi ‘ by the 56th Fighter Group at Boxted/England.

 In November 1945 she luckily survived the fate of being scrapped by changing her status to a museum aircraft. This Heinkel He 111 H-20 is a good contrast to the spanish build Casa - versions, which was built with Rolls Royce engines and new cowlings often after the war. This aircraft is the pure German design worth a look......., today to be found at the RAF Museum Hendon located at the Battle of Britain Hall.
